To all club Mana Squash Club Members
Last night you were sent your User Name and Password for the new Mana Squash online booking system. This message provides an overview of how to use the new system.
Information covered in this document:
Step 1 – Find your User name and initial password.
Please check your email and store your user name and password in a safe
place. You will need this to log into the system.
If you cant find an email, before you reply or phone your committee member
please do the following:
* Check you have downloaded your mail
* Check for an email from noreply@bookings.a-base.co.nz
this is the name of the system we use
* Check your junk mail folder – it may be in there. If
it is, mark it as non junk or you will miss all game reminders.
* Check you didn't delete it by mistake
* Check your work email (in case you cant remember what email
address you gave us)
If after doing all this, then you might not have paid your subscription,
provided the club with your email address – or even changed it and
forgotten to tell us.
If it is not the first one .. then please send an email to Paul Gadd pmgi@xtra.co.nz and he will set you up
in the system or will tell you where it was sent.
If you haven’t paid, then now is a good time to do so. And we will
then set you up in the system.
Step 2 – Sign on
Once you have your User Name and Password, you need to sign on to the
system.
You can view the system by either clicking on the mana squash club web
site :
http://www.manasquash.co.nz/?pageRequired=home
Or you can go directly to the booking system:
http://bookings.a-base.co.nz/?c2kek3dOKt
Once you have found the site, enter the user name and password in the
boxes as provided, and press ‘Go’
If this is the first time you have used the system, you will be asked to
change your password, confirm your email address and phone number.
Enter a new password that you will remember.
Note at any time you forget your password you can click on the ‘Lost
Password’ link, and the system will email it to you.
Step 3 – Try booking a court
To book a court click on an available slot. Your name will appear as
player 1. Click on the space for player two and follow the
instructions to select your opponent. If you are just testing the
system you may want to ‘un check’ the box that will send the email
reminders.
You can only book games with other members that are setup in the
system.
If you want to play a Visitor, you can use the special member ‘Club
Visitor’ setup in the system (firstname: Club Surname:
Visitor)
Then press the ‘submit’ button
Step 4 – Delete a booking
You can delete a booking you have made (in error or want to cancel
it), by clicking on the booking. You will be asked to confirm that
you want to delete it.
Step 5 – Log Out
If you are making a booking from home, the office, or an internet café
somewhere, don’t forget to log off. Press the log off link in the
yellow menu button area.
Other bits of info
Change name – you can change your name, password, phone or email at
any time by clicking on the ‘My Details’ menu link
Reports – you can look at some basic reports of how often you play
Missing User Names
If other members of you family have not received an email with their User
Name and Passwords, or you cant find them in the list of Members when you
try to make a booking, then there is a good chance they are not setup on
the system yet (or haven't paid !!)
In this case please send an email to Paul pmgi@xtra.co.nz with the firstname,
surname, and email address of the Member required to be added and
they will be set up and have their username and password emailed to them.
Don’t forget
While using the system, any bookings made prior to January 1 will be
considered test (any disputes .. refer to the sheets) – anything booked
for January 1 and beyond is a live booking (as the sheets have been
removed).
We suggest over Christmas when you are down at the club making a booking
you fill in the sheet – and also the online system for practice.
This way you can see how easy it is to make bookings. Note:
Normal club rules apply re making bookings.
Have fun, try the new system – and please send any suggestions,
comments etc to me pmgi@xtra.co.nz
and if appropriate we will forward them on to the developer for inclusion
in future versions.
