General Rules for Hiring of Club Premises
1. Hiring of Social Premises
1.1 No hiring is to be undertaken that commits the club to provide the premises on a regular basis. No hiring is to be given that conflicts with normal Club activities such as interclub tournaments and club night.
1.2 Applications for hiring are to be made in writing to the Management Committee. Applications will normally only be accepted from financial member of the Club. Any applications from non-financial members shall be at the discretion of the Management Committee.
1.3 A financial member applying for use of the premises will be responsible for:
1.3.1 Payment of all hire fees.
1.3.2 Maintaining the condition of the premises during the period of hire.
1.3.3 The full cost of any damage that may arise during the period of the hire.
1.3.4 Cleaning the premises immediately after use.
1.3.5 Compliance with all regulations and license that apply to the Club and its facilities.
1.4 Bar Usage
1.4.1 There are to be no sales of liquor within the club unless they are made across the bar counter, at normal bar prices, for the benefit of the Club.
1.4.2 The use of the Bar facility is dependent on the availability of a Club supplied Bar Manager. Given the volunteer nature of bar operations, the club cannot guarantee such services will always be available. Arrangements for a bar manager are to be made on each application for Hireage.
1.4.3 If the Bar is used, all requirements of the Club's Bar License are to apply.
1.4.4 Only Club supplied beverages is to be consumed on the premises. If drinks other than that normally available from the bar are required the hirer will need to arrange for the bar manager to purchase these prior to the event.
1.5 Hours of Hire
Normal closing hours, as provided in the Club bar License, are to apply to the hiring of The Club Premises and are to be strictly applied. The closing time is 1am with the Premises to be vacated by 1:30am.
1.6 Hireage Levies
1.6.1 (a) Meetings (max duration 4 hours) $10 per hour
(b) Social Functions (evenings)
Normal - $343 per hire (includes: Hire Fee ($150); Special license ($60); Cleaning ($30) and Bond ($100 refundable if the Club is left in an undamaged and clean condition))
Sponsors - $100 per hire
Squash Organisations - $100 per hire
(c) Squash Activity Hire e.g., coaching, Refereeing, Training Sessions or Courses no Fixed Charge
1.6.2 Payment of all amounts due as laid down in paragraph 1.3 above is to be made to the Club within 7 days of hire. In the event of non-payment, the Club reserves the right to suspend the hire agreement.
2. Squash Court Hire
2.1 Applications for use of the squash courts for an organised squash activity will only be accepted in writing.
2.2 Responsibility for payment premises conditions and cleaning apply as in paragraphs 1.3 and 1.6.2 above.
2.3 Court Hire Levies:
(a) School Hire Free of Charge
(b) Other Hire $10 per court per hour
2.4 School Hireage to be between the hours of 9am - 4pm Monday to Friday. For all other Hireage, non-peak hours apply.
3. General Provisions
Notwithstanding the above general criteria, hiring of Club Premises is at the discretion of the Committee (or Emergency Committee in the event of urgent applications between Committee Meetings). The Committee reserves the right to reject individual applications or amend the above rules and conditions.
