Mana Squash Club
Mana Squash have a great collection of trophies donated by various businesses and individuals over the lifetime of the club.
These trophies are awarded annually at the club’s prize giving.


Senior Men


The Founders Cup (Men’s Open)

Inaugural year: 1977 – As the name implies, this cup was donated by the founding fathers of the Mana Squash Club. They were Doug Crease, Ron Diack, Bryan Mogridge, and Dave Renwick. The aforementioned also personally guaranteed the mortgage to build the club.

At the time of writing, Ron still lives in Camborne, Bryan is living in Auckland, Doug lives in Australia and Dave is a Plimmerton resident. Doug, Ron, and Bryan are life members.
Paremata Service Centre Cup (Men’s Open Runner Up)
Inaugural year: 1977 – Donated by Vic Stella and Pat Robinson who were the owners of the then Paremata service station (now Mobil).
The Bright’s Cup (Men’s B Grade)
Inaugural year: 1977 – Donated by Barry Bright of Bright’s Building supplies. (Cup was thought lost and was replaced by the Tuckatime Cup in 1998).
The Tuckatime Cup (Men’s B Grade)
Inaugural year: 1998 – Donated by Bruce and Diane Tucker club members and for several years’ sponsors of the Club Championships.
The Winstone Clay Products Cup (Men’s C Grade)
Inaugural year: 1977 – Donated by Winstones Clay Products, Plimmerton. (No longer in business)
The Paremata Marine Cup (Men’s D Grade)
Inaugural year: 1977 – Donated by Hugh Barton from Barton Marine who at the time owned Paremata Marine. (No longer in business)
The Camborne Cup (Men’s C Grade)
Inaugural year: 1985 – Donated by Harry and Gail Meekin. Harry and Gail were long time members of the Club and were resident in Camborne at the time. At time of writing Harry is resident in the US and Gail, a former Club Captain and Committee member, lives in Whitby.
Men’s Veterans Cup (Div 1 and Div 2)
Inaugural year: 1985
Mogridge Cup (Most Improved Man)
Inaugural year: 1979 – Donated by Bryan Mogridge (founding member).

Whitford Brown Cup (Women’s Open)
Inaugural year: 1977 – Donated by Whitford Brown, Mayor of Porirua at the time, and who also officially opened the club (see plaque in lower gallery).
Hutt Manufacturing Jeweller’s Cup (Women’s B Grade)
Inaugural year: 1980 – Donated by Graham Browne owner of the above firm and club member. At time of writing Graham is manager of Leaders Real Estate, Plimmerton.
Morley’s Liverpool Cup (Women’s C Grade)
Inaugural year: 1981 – Donated by the late Ron Morley ex Liverpool and club member.
Mogridge Cup (Most Improved Women)
Inaugural year: 1979 – Donated by Bryan Mogridge (founding member)
